Foot in Mouth Award Winner 2006
Although there is still over six weeks of 2006 to go, I’m not convinced anyone is going to beat this one. To set the scene, the following ocurred at JC’s 26th birthday celebrations in Richmond on Saturday. One of JC’s flatmates had gone to Keele, the same University as JC, Keef and I.
Phil - Wow, you went to Keele too?
Flatmate - Yep, lived in ‘C’-block, Hawthorns.
Phil - Small world. We were in ‘J’-Block. Only person I knew round that way was Jo the Hoe, but I think most of the male population of Keele knew her.
Flatmate - [Silence]
Phil - Remember her?
Flatmate - Yeah. I guess you know her by repuation then? She’s got two children now, apparently.
Phil - Huh. All I know is that she was on ‘very good terms’ with lots of guys at that University. My friend Richie knew her particularly well.
Flatmate - [Changes subject]
JC later informed me that his flatmate had gone out with Jo the Hoe throughout the entire first year of University, never got to see her naked and then found out she’d been cheating on him with many, many people. Upon learning this he managed to crash his car along a country lane, rolling it over in the process.
It was that sort of night; later on I almost got run over in Trafalgar Square, had an argument with a homeless person and later dropped my trousers outside East Croydon station in an attempt to prove that it wasn’t cold at 4am in the middle of November…

All of the above is why I love you.
