(Still) Tearing Them a New One
Re: 32 Cross Road, Croydon
We wrote to you on 25 October 2007 by e-mail and letter with regard to the roof and damp surveys that you carried out at the above address on 13 July 2007 and 5 September 2007.
Despite our request for an early answer, we have not yet had any response to our communications.
The remedial work has now been carried out at a cost of £500, a sum which we would not have incurred but for your breach of duty.
This is to inform you that unless we receive a promise by you, to reimburse this sum, by close of play on Monday 19th November we will issue proceedings against you without further notice. We look forward to hearing from you urgently so that this course of action can be avoided. Yours faithfully
Yes, I know that we’ve given them a £70 reduction. This is due to my truly excellent negotiation skills when paying in cash… For some reason workmen will pretty much sell their Grandmother’s to avoid having to accept a cheque!
More updates as and when.
Update 20/11/2007 - our case has been submitted to the Small Claims Court and Complete Preservation Services now have 14-days to reply. A search for ‘Complete Preservation Services’ on Google.co.uk now brings up this site as hits number 7 and number 8.
Think they may have messed with the wrong people?!
