File this one under ‘things I’ve known for years, but didn’t really appreciate’:
My paternal Grandfather’s mother died in childbirth, upon which time he was adopted by a relative with the surname ‘Saunders’. My Grandfather’s original surname? Dennis. Therefore my surname is only two generations old, and my biological relatives were ‘Dennis” going back through generations.
It’s probably for the best, ‘TheBoyDennis.com’ sounds like I should have a web cam and a gay lover.
Other ‘things I’ve known for years, but didn’t really appreciate’? Giraffes have weird bluey/black tongues:

Things I have appreciated is that hammerhead sharks are one of the few animals on the planet, along with man and pigs that can tan.
The female of the species can also ’store’ sperm for months, can haev litters of up to 55 puppies (as they’re known) and can reproduce assexually if necessary.
Also Hammerhead sharks group together in packs in the morning before seperating out to hunt in the evening. In a kind of ‘how you doing mate, oh sorry have to go to work catch you later yeah?’ way.
They are now officially my favourite shark.

Hey there, did I hear a call for a pretend gay lover?

What will be the pretend bit?

Other things to know and appreciate. Hippos sweat is blood red and was mistaken for blood by natives for many years. Their milk also has a slight pink hue but unfortunately does not taste of strawberrys.
