Question of Currency
Here’s an interesting question (if, like me, you’re deeply sad): which four international currencies are worth more than £1 in a single denomination? So, for example, currently one euro is worth £0.88, a US$ is worth £0.65 etc., but which currencies rise above the magic £1.0 mark? I’ll put the answer after the break, just on the off-chance that anyone wants to have a think about it!
Answer:
1 Kuwaiti Dinar = £2.26
1 Bahraini Dinar = £1.73
1 Oman Rial = £1.70
1 Latvian Lati = £1.24
At the other end of the scale is the humble Sao Tome and Principe Dobra, which is worth £0.00004. I’m not entirely sure what all this says about love and life, but I’m sure that, somehow, it’s all deeply relevant.

I was going to make a longwinded dinar/dinner joke, but I realised it was only going to insult peoples’ intelligence and embarrass myself. So I wrote this pointless comment instead. I should probably just go to work…

Something along the lines of ‘you won’t get much dinner for your dinar in Kuwait… because the currency is so inflated!’ works well for me. Satirical and hilarious!
